Jump into the mid-20th century as we continue our journey through New York on Film: Decade by Decadewith movies spanningthe 1950s to the 1980s.Thisseries explores the citys singular mix of influences and aesthetics, peoples, and environments. Join us to experience each decade through a diverse range of genres and styles that graced the silver screenfrom beloved classics to indiefavorites, and rarely seen gems.
Curated by Jessica Green, theseries accompanies our centennial exhibition, This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture.
